Bingeable Book Series!

Imagine this: curling up in bed with a hot steaming cup of coffee or tea with a stack of books at hand. Doesn’t this sound amazing? Well if it does, then definitely keep reading for a lot of bingeable recommendations!

The Heroes of Olympus series by Rick Riordan

Obviously you have to read the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series before reading this one, but if you already have then you need to pick this series up. The Heroes of Olympus series follows a group of demigods who band together to defeat the all powerful, Gaia, or who is better known as Mother Earth. There are five books and they are The Lost Hero, The Son of Neptune, The Mark of Athena, The House of Hades and The Blood of Olympus. These books include a wonderful cast of characters and pages upon pages of epic quests and fight scenes.

The Kane Chronicles trilogy by Rick Riordan

Yep, more Rick Riordan because his series are so much fun to read in a binge session. While Percy Jackson and the Olympians, and the Heroes of Olympus are influenced by Greek and Roman mythology, the Kane Chronicles is influenced by Egyptian mythology. It follows two siblings, Carter and Sadie, whose father disappears in a grand scheme to steal a valuable item from a museum. Later they learn that they are tied to the Egyptian world of gods and monsters, and that their father’s disappearance has to do with it. This series does not get a lot of credit for how good and fun it is, so when I see a chance I have to recommend it!

The Wrath and the Dawn duology by Renee Ahdieh

Yes, yes, this isn’t a series but it is a fantastic duology that everyone needs to read. It twists around with the Arabian story of One Thousand and One Arabian Nights and it is filled with action, suspense and swoon worthy moments. I currently have not read the companion to the first book, which is the Rose and the Dagger, but I am getting it in the mail today so I will jump into it as soon as possible!

Shatter Me trilogy by Tahereh Mafi

Image result for shatter me trilogy

This is a trilogy where you pick up the first book and then immediately after you finish you want to pick up the other two books. But wait…this trilogy isn’t going to be a trilogy for long because Tahereh Mafi announced that she is adding two more books to this addicting series! This means you have time to catch up. The first book follows a girl named Juliette who has been locked up in a cell for almost a year but eventually breaks out with the help of an unusual friend. She soon realizes her breakout was more than she assumed and suddenly her whole life is flipped upside down. Love, love, love these books and definitely recommend them!

Anna and the French Kiss trilogy by Stephanie Perkins

I know, this isn’t really a trilogy but while the books follow completely different characters with each book, they do intertwine eventually. The three books are Anna and the French Kiss, Lola and the Boy Next Door, and Isla and the Happily Ever After. This is a contemporary trilogy and each book is different so I won’t go into too much deal other than say that there are heart throbbing romances and heart shattering heart breaks!

Those are all the bingeable series I have for you today and I hope you enjoyed.

May Wrap Up

May is already almost over and for me it was a pretty decent reading month. I read a totally of 5 books and each of them were a very enjoyable read! Comment below the books you read this month because I would love to know 🙂

Unravel Me by Tahereh Mafi is the second book in the Shatter Me trilogy so I will not go into to much detail because of spoilers. Basically, this trilogy is about a girl named Juliette who possesses the power to kill anyone by her touch, and after being locked up for a few years she is released to become a weapon. I really liked this book and the whole series is just fantastic so I definitely recommend it! 5/5 stars

The Hidden Oracle by Rick Riordan is the second book I finished this month and it is the first book in Rick Riordan’s new series based around Apollo. This book is about the god Apollo who is cast down to Earth after angering his father…the twist is he is mortal. Now, with no godly abilities, Apollo is forced to face enemies he has made and learn to adapt with his new body. I found this book very funny and easy to read like Rick Riordan’s books, and while it wasn’t amazing or anything I am still excited to continue on with the series! 4/5 stars

Ignite Me by Tahereh Mafi is the last book in the Shatter Me trilogy and can I just say this book was as amazing as the others. I described the main idea of this trilogy already so I will just give a brief opinion. I thought this book was a great conclusion and I loved how things ended up. I wished their was more and more but all good things must come to an end. Please read this series if you haven’t because of all the epic feels and Warner…ah Warner. 5/5 stars

Frostbite by Richelle Mead is the second book in the Vampire Academy which I am currently getting through and I am so excited to be continuing on with this series! It is so easy and fun to read that I find myself finishing them quickly. They are about these two girls, Rose who is a dhampir (protects vampires) and Lisa who is a vampire, who attend St. Vladamir’s which is a school for vampires. The books follow their journey at school and as they face their enemies. I totally recommend this series! 4/5 stars

The Heir by Kiera Cass is the fourth book in the Selection series but also the first book that follows Eadyln’s point of view. This was a reread since the Crown came out recently and I am glad I reread it because I definitely enjoyed it more this time. I still found Eadlyn stuck up and annoying but for some reason I liked the book better. 4/5 stars

Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi Review

Since I am now on the last book of the Shatter Me trilogy I decided to review them! Don’t worry, if you have not read this series these reviews will be non-spoilery.

Shatter Me is about a 17 year old girl named Juliette who has been locked up for a few years because of her curse/gift. She can kill with her touch. After being locked up for many years, she manages to get out but is brought to an organization that wants to “help” fix the broken world they live in but the longer Juliette stays there the more she realizes she needs to escape.

I loved this book. It was a fantastic way to start off a trilogy because it had me hooked on every page. The entire story was so poetically written and it was extremely easy to read. I gasped, laughed and cried quite a few times through this book just because of how amazing it was. I definitely recommend this for any dystopian or fantasy lovers because I can practically guarantee you will like it as much as I did. One of my favourite things about this book was the characters just because they were so real and in depth that I could just see where they were all coming from and that’s one thing that was a really strong aspect of this book for me. So overall I give this book a 4.8/5 stars and I cannot wait to finish the series.

Reading Update

I haven’t poShatter-Mested in a few days so I decided to update you guys with what I am reading and my reading plans! Comment below what you are currently reading because I would love to know!

So right now I am working through Unravel Me by Tahereh Mafi and I am really enjoying it! I have only read 2 days worth of it and am on page 150 but I am hoping to get to at least 200 by the end of the weekend. I know that doesn’t seem like much but I usually don’t read much on the weekend. I love reading at night and when I don’t have school I tend to watch movies all night…Anyways back to books. Once I have finished Unravel Me, I am hoping to jump right to the last book, Ignite Me!

That is all for my mini reading update 🙂

April Wrap Up

There are only 4 more days left in April so I decided what a better time to share with you guys all the books I read in April because I don’t think I am going to get any more read before May. After this check out my last post which is my May TBR and don’t forget to comment about any posts you want me to do!

Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs was the first book I read in April and I really enjoyed it! Sadly I was in a reading slump while reading it so I feel like I didn’t fully experience it but I will re read it again before the movie comes out! It was still a really fun and interesting read though!

Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead was another book I finished in April and I really liked reading it! I had been planning on reading it for a while but never got around to it until I forced myself to pick it up and I ended up really liking it! It was easy and fun to read and I will definitely continue on with the series.

Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi was one of the books I read in April and it was absolutely amazing! Every page was so poetically written and pleasing to read. I loved the plot, the characters and just every possible aspect! I definitely recommend this to anyone who loves Divergent or dystopian or really any fantasy book!

Unravel Me by Tahereh Mafi was the last book I read in April (I am actually currently reading it right now but I will for sure finish by the end of the month) and so far it is so good! I love this entire world and I am excited to continue on reading the trilogy!

Those are all the books I read this month and 4 books is pretty good for me so I say it was one of my better reading months! Don’t forget to comment all the books you read this month!

May TBR!

There are 6 more days April so I decided to share with you guys all the great books I have planned to read in May!

Shadow Kiss by Richelle Mead is the third book in the Vampire Academy series that I am currently reading. I am starting the second one today so hopefully and most likely, I will be getting to the third one soon! I am really liking the series so far just because it is really easy and fun to read!

Unravel Me by Tahereh Mafi is the second book in the Shatter Me trilogy which I am also reading at the moment. Shatter Me was such an amazing first book and every page had me absolutely captivated. The characters are super detailed and real and every single word on every single page sounds like poetry. It’s so amazing and you neeeed to read this trilogy!

Demigod Diaries by Rick Riordan is a short story about some of the characters from the Percy Jackson world which I love. I have read this before so this is just a re read so I can add some more books on my ‘Books read in 2016’ list. I mainly read this book during my English class when I have like 20 minutes to silent read and I am really enjoying re reading this!

Glass Sword by Victoria Aveyard is the last book on my TBR and is also the second book in the Red Queen series (or trilogy, I don’t know). The first book, Red Queen, has a lot of mixed reviews but I was one of the people who really enjoyed it. I found it super easy to read, the characters were easy to like and overall I thought it was a great story. It may not be the most original story out there but that doesn’t mean I don’t like and I can only hope the second book is even better!

That is my TBR and I hope you liked it! (Leave a comment on another post you would like me to do)
