Series to Binge Read

We all love those series that you can just sit down, read, finish the book, and then continue on with the series without getting up…well obviously you get up at some point but you don’t want to. For this post, I will be telling you guys some series that you will start and not want to stop.

Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead – I am currently reading this series and I am loving it! I am on the third book and I never want to put them down. It is about two girls, Rose Hathaway who is a dhampir (protects vampires) and Lisa Dragomir who is a royal Moroi (vampire) and their life at St. Vladamir’s. The books follow them as they face enemies while trying to maintain a decent image. This is a good series to binge read because there are six books in total, Vampire Academy, Frostbite, Shadow Kiss, Blood Promise, Spirit Bound and Last Sacrifice. Go! Read them!

Percy Jackson and the Olympians by Rick Riordan – This series is such a fun and easy series to binge read so if you haven’t read these please go now and read them! These books are about a boy named Percy Jackson who discovers he is the son of a Greek god and how he has to learn to live with that because that isn’t a small feat. There are five books in the series and I love all of them. The Lightning Thief, Sea of Monsters, Titan’s Curse, Battle of the Labyrinth and Last Olympian. A totally easy binge read!

The Selection Series by Kiera Cass – There are now 5 books in this series (The Selection, The Elite, The One, The Heir, The Crown) and they are just so easy to read. I read the first 3 books in one sitting because I was absolutely hooked. I really recommend this as a binge reading series.

Lux Series by Jennifer L Armentrout – Again, there are five books in this series (Obsidian, Onyx, Opal, Origin and Opposition) and they are really interesting! My favourite is probably the first book but all the books are very good. Please read this series if you haven’t yet!

March Wrap Up!

Hey! Sorry I haven’t posted in forever but I am back now! So in this blog post I have decided to discuss the books I read in March and I am pretty pleased with how many I read. I read a total of 4 books this month which is pretty good considering I was busy for a good majority of the month and also the fact I am a slow reader…lets just continue on with this blog post!

The first I read in March was Lady Midnight by Cassandra Clare. Lady Midnight is the first book in a new series by Cassandra Clare called the Dark Artifices. Lady Midnight is a continuation of the amazing Shadow world Cassandra has created and it was amazing! This was by far my most anticipated book of 2016 and it did not disappoint me! 5/5 stars

Next book I read and finished in March was Carry On by Rainbow Rowell. This is an interesting book because while it is similar to Harry Potter it is its own thing. In Rainbow Rowell’s other book, Fangirl, Cath writes fanfiction that is called ‘Carry On’ and so basically, this entire book is the fanfiction she wrote which I found very entertaining! 4.5/5 stars

Third book I read last month was Lola and the Boy Next Door by Stephanie Perkins. I love Stephanie Perkins ‘sort of trilogy’. It contains Anna and the French Kiss, Lola and the Boy Next Door and Isla and the Happily Ever After. Three different love stories but they all intertwine in the end which I LOVE! I have read all 3 of these books many, many times and I feel like I enjoy them more every time! I flew through Lola and the Boy Next Door and it was just an amazing, easy read to kick off my spring break. 4.5/5 stars

Last book I read last month was Opposition by Jennifer L Armentrout. I was a little bit late on the Lux series because I thought I would not like it but guess what, I ended up loving it! Opposition is the last book (book 5) in the Lux series and I thought it was really good but I was hoping for more. Other than the fact I was still expecting more than what I got, I thought it was a great book and it ended the series nicely. 4/5 stars

That is all for my March Wrap and I will be back soon with another blog post on my April TBR!

Reading Update!

I haven’t been on lately because I have been trying to finish the book I am reading before Friday, and I have. I was reading Carry On by Rainbow Rowell and even though I had about 200 pages left, I still finished it last night…at midnight. It was a really, really good book and I see how people compare it to Harry Potter because in Carry On, the characters are like the Harry Potter characters but if they were more like teenagers. Anyways, I really enjoyed it and I am glad I picked it up! Since I finished it early, I will probably just re read some of Lola and the Boy Next Door by Stephanie Perkins and then on the plane start Opposition by Jennifer L Armentrout, and finally, read Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children!

Well that’s all for today, bye!

Books I Want to Read!

I was thinking earlier about all the books I haven’t had a chance to pick up yet but really would like to read so I decided to share them in a blog post!

Queen of the Tearling by Erika Johanson is a book that I have heard a lot of great things about. Another reason I want to read it is because the movie is coming out sometime soon and Emma Watson, I am pretty sure, is starring in it so it will be amazing!

Falling Kingdoms by Morgan Rhode is a very hyped up book at the moment and I really want to buy it sometime soon! The only thing I am hesitant about is that it is high fantasy and I do love fantasy but sometimes it is hard for me to get into high fantasy…

Queen of Shadows by Sarah J Maas is the fourth book in the Throne of Glass series and I need to know what happens in this book but sadly I am broke…#lifeofareader. In my opinion, I think the first book was the best and I don’t know why I love it so much when everyone else loves Heir of Fire. I guess I’m different…I’m divergent and you can’t control me.

Curse of the Sphinx by Raye Wagner (sorry if that names is spelt wrong…) I have really wanted to read this book after seeing it was advertised on booktube because it is about Greek mythology and I loooove Greek mythology so much.

Opposition by Jennifer L Armentrout is the fifth and final book in the Lux series which I have recently read and loved. I have been searching for the last book but every single time I go to the book store or the library the book seems to be gone! But luckily, I will be getting the eBook on my tablet this week for when I go travelling so this should be off the list soon.

Comment below some book recommendations because I would love to check them out!

My Book Buying List!

I have so many books I want and NEED to buy so here is my list!

Glass Sword by Victoria Aveyard. I really enjoyed Red Queen so I cannot wait to get my hands on this book! Yes it wasn’t all that original but it was really a great, easy read and that plot twist….

Fallen Kingdoms by Morgan Rhode is another book I need to get because it sounds like such a great fantasy book and I have heard so many great things!

Truthwitch by Susan Dennard is another fantasy book I would love to read. The concept is so unique and fantastic that I want to read about it.

Oppositon by Jennifer L Armentrout is the final book in the Lux series which is one of my new favourite series and after finishing Origin last night I NEED to read the last book and finds out what happens like now.

Stars Above by Marissa Meyer is a bunch of short stories that take place after the Lunar Chronicles which by the way is an amazing series so go read it. After reading Winter, the last book in the series, I am really excited to see how the characters are after the war and everything.

Shadowhunter Academy by Cassandra Clare and a few other authors is about Simon after he becomes a Shadowhunter and I am pretty sure you can tell he goes to Shadowhunter Academy. This isn’t exactly a book series because it is a whole bunch of novellas but I heard they get really great and besides, I would like to see the characters again and Simon is just a great, funny character.

Okay! So that is all for today and I will be back with another post tomorrow 🙂
