Sorry there were no blog posts on Monday and Tuesday but from now on there will be so again, I am so sorry about that. Anyways, now I am going to share my top 5 favourite book covers in order so I hope you enjoy!
#5. Winter by Marissa Meyer – Winter is the final book in the Lunar Chronicles series and while it is an amazing read, the cover is gorgeous! The cover has our new POV, Winter, holding a glowing red apple because if you didn’t know, each new Lunar Chronicles book is based on a different fairy tale. If you haven’t read the Lunar Chronicles definitely go pick it up, read it and then stare at the beautiful covers!
#4. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban by Harry Potter (UK Edition) – I bought the Harry Potter series in the UK edition because they are stunning but my favourite is definitely the third one. Prisoner of Azkaban used to be one of my least favourite Harry Potter books story wise and cover wise but now I love both. The blues and the patronus featured on the cover just make it that much better! Honestly, if for some odd reason then you NEED to pick up this fantastic series.
#3. Passengers by Alexandra Bracken – When I saw this cover I was like “I HAVE to buy this” and I did but sadly didn’t enjoy the story as much as I did the cover. Passengers is a time travel book and the illustration of the boat on the cover of the book is so incredible that I really wish I loved the story. I am going to give the book another try eventually but until then I will just enjoy its beautiful cover.
#2. The Assassin’s Blade by Sarah J Maas – I haven’t read this book but the cover is so pretty! It has blues and purples that blend nicely but all of Sarah J Maas’s books are breathtaking so I am not surprised this one is also amazing! Please read all of Sarah J Maas’s books though because you will not regret it.
#1. Lady Midnight by Cassandra Clare – This is one of my favourite books EVER and it just happens to have a beautiful cover so that is double points to Cassandra Clare. The cover of Lady Midnight is a picture of our main character, Emma Carstairs floating under water with a sword in hand. The shot is so stunning and captures a certain scene perfectly in the book. Looking at the cover gets me super excited for the next book, Lord of Shadows coming out in May!
That is all for this blog post and I hope you enjoyed! Don’t forget to check out my last blog post: Reading Update.
P.S. I couldn’t put in a picture for Winter so sorry about that!
I am a complete mess right now. School has completely taken over life and I have only been able to read when I am like half asleep…needless to say, I have gotten some reading done lately so here is what’s going on with that!
So as I have mentioned in previous blog posts, I am re reading a Harry Potter book a month in preparation for me to read the 8th book. The other day I started Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban and I am on page 50 I believe. I love reading Harry Potter, especially in the cooler months and it just makes me feel happy and less stressed out from my daily life. After this I am hoping to finish A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J Maas because it is such beautiful, entertaining book that I need to finish ASAP! Apart from reading, I have also been writing a lot lately because of contest deadlines and whatnot. I really recommend entering online writing contests if you enjoy writing. There are ones for fiction, non fiction, fantasy, sci-fi, romance, and really any genre and style. I really enjoy entering these because I always grow as a writer with each piece of work I submit.
That was a mini update in my reading and a tip if you like writing so I hope you liked it and found it somewhat interesting! Don’t forget to check out my last post and keep your eyes out for my next one 🙂
So about a week ago I made a September TBR but I have totally decided to change it because of some of the new books I bought…so here is my new September TBR!
Ruby Red by Kerstin Gier – This is my current read at the moment and I am really excited to continue reading it! I am only 30 pages in but so far I am really enjoying it. It’s different then most books I have read considering the book is about time travel. Other then that, I have no idea what this book is about but hopefully I really like it in the end so I can finish the other 2 in the series!
Since You’ve Been Gone by Morgan Matson – I have a very specific time period of when I want to read this and that is during my first few days back at school. Going back to school can be stressful and this book is anything but stressful for me so I want to use it as my get away. Plus I just love this book and am dying to give it a re read!
A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J Maas – I am SO pumped to read this book and I know I am going to love it just as much as the first. This world that Sarah J Maas has created is just so beautiful and complex and I cannot wait to learn more about! Also Tamlin is just amazing so…
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban by JK Rowling – I am on the third book for Harry Potter in the month of September and I am really happy to re read this book! When I was a bit younger, this was my least favourite book but after reading it a few years later I liked it a lot more than I did the first time. Anyways, I am excited to continue staying in the Harry Potter world so yay!
Those are all the books I plan on reading in September and all of them have changed from my original one except for Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. I would have chosen more books but considering how bad I did last month and that I will be busy with school I kept it at a realistic amount. Anyways, don’t forget to check out my last post: August Wrap Up 2016!!! and comment what you plan to read in September!
