A lot of the books that I read that are or were hyped are really good but sometimes you expecting so much from a certain book because everyone keeps obsessing and raving about it, but when you actually read it, it just lets you down. I understand why books are hyped up though, I mean, you really like a book so you want to talk about it with other people but sometimes it takes away from your reading experience which sucks. One book that was super hyped up that I read was Dorothy Must Die by Danielle Paige which I ended up not really enjoying because I was expecting so much more. The book has a great concept though and I wish I could have loved it so I will be giving it another try just because I will not give into the will of hyped up books!
This was just a mini rant because I recently read a hyped up book that I didn’t enjoy so anyways I hope you guys found this entertaining!
All of us have those books we have never read that everyone else has and today I decided to share with you the ones I haven’t gotten to yet.
The Twilight Series by Stephanie Meyer…I read the first book in the summer but it never wowed me so I didn’t move onto the next books but I have all the books so I will try and finish the series.
Passengers by Alexandra Bracken…I am currently reading this now after putting it down last month because nothing exciting happened. I know the exciting part happens towards the end but that is like another 150 pages and I just wish it wasn’t so slow but I will finish it, I promise and then I will write a review on it.
Dorothy Must Die series by Danielle Paige…Okay so I read the first book and at first I enjoyed it but then I lost interest. It wasn’t because nothing exciting happened but because I didn’t connect with the characters at all and it just wasn’t my type of book. The CW is currently deciding whether or not to make it a TV series and I will definitely give it a shot because I think it would make a good show.
The Death Cure by James Dashner…Again I read the first and second book and I really liked the first book. I thought it was a great idea but then I read the second book and all they seemed to do was walk through the desert and that bore me. I feel like Dashner kind of didn’t try as hard with the second book which drove me to not wanting to read the last book but I got spoiled anyway…cry.
Those are some of the popular books I have not read and comment down below the ones you haven’t read!
