Hey guys! Today was the final day of the Biannual Bibliothon, and while I did not achieve the ultimate 7 books in 7 days goal, I still got a lot of reading done! I am sure if I tried a bit harder, and managed by time better, I would have been able to read that many books but oh well. Overall, Imanaged to read 5 1/2 books and completed 5 of the challenges, so I would still count it as a success, right?
Today I was finally able to finish Blue Lily Lily Blue by Maggie Stiefvater, the third book in The Raven Cycle. I listened to this book half on audiobook and read the other half physically, and oh my, it was AMAZING! This book was so atmospheric and the characters really jumped out at me more than usual. For some reason, I really enjoyed reading two of the “villains” in this book and I love when that happens. Overall, this book gets a solid 4.5/5 stars from me because I thought relationships between the characters was strengthen, stakes rose, and the plot thickened immensely.
I also listened to about half of Legend by Marie Lu via audiobook. This was going to be seventh book read (didn’t finish my sixth read: A Darker Shades of Magic), so it wasn’t really for a challenge, but I listened to it while at the gym and doing my daily tasks today, so I got quite a few hours in! I am definitely going to continue listening to this audiobook because I am really enjoying revisiting this story via audiobook, and am considering listening to the rest of the trilogy as well. I would have finished this book but I just got distracted by uh…Fullmetal Alchemist on Netflix, as well as other tasks that WERE productive, I swear. I tried not to go too hard on myself though, because sometimes we can’t read all the books and that is okay!
That was my day 7 reading update, and I hope you enjoyed it and all of my other updates and Biannual Bibliothon posts! I had so much fun this readathon, and make sure you get ready for the BookTubeAThon (July 30-Aug 5)!
