Movies I Watched in May 2017

I watched a whole bunch of new movies last month, and while it is kind of embarrassing how many, I decided to share them and give mini, non spoiler reviews on them!

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 – I was so excited for this movie, and I actually watched it twice…yeah, I know. Anyways, Galaxy of the Guardians Vol 2 follows our cast of main characters from the previous movie, and follows them as they are off to save the galaxy for a second time. This movie has it all. It has a good soundtrack, hilarious jokes and some kickass fight scenes that made me not get enough of this movie. If you like action and adventure movies, then definitely check the first one and then watch this one because it is definitely worth your time! 9.5/10 stars

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales – This is the fifth movie in the series I believe, and while it has been a very, very long time since I have seen the previous movies, I still enjoyed this one. In this movie we follow two new characters as well as Jack Sparrow, as they embark on an epic journey to find the trident of Poseidon. I enjoyed this movie, and while I am not sure if I would pay to watch it a second time I think it is worth the watch if you are a Pirates of the Caribbean fan! 7.5/10 stars

Everything Everything – I have read the book this movie was adapted from, and absolutely loved it so I was so excited to hear they were making a movie based off it. I personally thought they did a fantastic job and I thought that it really captured the idea of the book. Everything Everything follows a girl named Maddy who is allergic to literally everything, and hasn’t left the house for eighteen years, and she was somewhat okay with that. But when I boy named Ollie moves next door and captures her heart, she finds herself wanting things she can’t be wanting. I thought this movie was adorable and definitely have plans to see it in the future. 8.5/10 stars

Those are all the movies that I watched this past month and I hope you enjoyed. Don’t forget to check out my last blog post: Writing Conferences and Festivals!
