April 2017 Wrap Up!

April was not the best reading month for me, but I did manage to get through these two, pretty large books. I kind of fell into a reading slump last month but hopefully May will be more of a fast paced reading month! Anyways, here are the books I managed to complete during April.

Emerald Green by Kerstin Gier

This is the final book in the Ruby Red trilogy, which follows a Gwenyth, a girl born into a family of time travellers, but is believed to not possess the time travelling gene. That is, until she finds herself thrust back into the past and suddenly her life is flipped upside down. I have already read this trilogy before, sometime last year, and I loved it just as much this time. If you want a fun, fast paced read, then definitely give this trilogy a try! 4.5/5 stars

Lady Midnight by Cassandra Clare

I re read this in preparation for the sequel, Lord of Shadows, which is coming out next month and ugh, it was fantastic. It took me a while to finish it because it is very long, but it definitely brought me out of my reading slump. Lady Midnight is the first book in Cassandra Clare’s new trilogy, The Dark Artifices, which also takes place in her beloved Shadowhunter world. It follows Emma Carstairs, a Shadowhunter who is determined to discover the truth behind her parents death with the help of her best friend and parabatai, Julian. 5/5 stars

Those are the two books I finished last month and I hope you enjoyed. Don’t forget to check out my last blog post: Reading/Writing Update!
