I read a lot of writing books and I am currently reading 2 really great ones that I think you should all check out!

This Year You Write Your Novel by Walter Mosley – This book is very inspirational and has a lot of great tips on how to motivate yourself to finally sit down and write your novel. It is also great if you just want to get back into writing, even if it doesn’t lead to you writing a novel. If you are though, definitely recommend this!

The Complete Book of Scriptwriting by J. Michael Straczynski – Even though I don’t write scripts, I think it is really important to read outside your writing circle. If you tend to write more in the Young Adult sci-fi/fantasy area, then try and read books focused on not only sci-fi and fantasy, but romance and historical or even books in the Adult category. Also try and read books on poetry and scriptwriting… really anything, because everything will help make you a great, experience writer. I am really enjoying this scriptwriting book and I have learned lots of methods and valuable tips that I most definitely with put towards my writing!
