Reading/Writing Update!

This week was pretty busy and I think during the whole mess of it all I fell into a reading slump because I could not make myself read. This week, I was reading Tales from the Shadowhunter Academy by Cassandra Clare and I was enjoying it, I mean I hadn’t gotten to any amazing parts yet, but before I could, I just didn’t want to read anymore. I think it might’ve been because of the workload I have been under lately, but I just put the book down and let myself take a break for a day. I want to continue reading it though, but for now I am reading Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince by JK Rowling because I need to finish that before January. I am only about 30 pages in but I obviously am really loving it so I think I will use this book to get me out of my terrible slump and then finally complete Tales from the Shadowhunter Academy. My winter break is coming up in the next week and a half and while that normally means more time for reading, this is a break will I have barely anytime for reading so I want to get as much as I can done in the next 10 days.

For writing I have done exceptionally better. This week I wrote about 4000 words but I am feeling very stumped on what I am working on so I think I am going to take a break from it because I have tried to approach it in many different ways in this story but nothing seems to be working. I do really like this idea so I think I am just going to try and change a few things later on. Tomorrow though, I am attending this 3 Hour Fiction Writing Contest Write In sort of thing and I am very excited. I have a good, solid idea and am really pumped to explore it more! Other than that, I am really hoping to continue writing this next week.

That is it for my Reading/Writing Update and I hope you enjoyed!
