Upcoming YA Book to Movie Adaptations

Books and movies are most likely some of my favourite things EVER, so when they come together it is amazing…well sometimes. Anyways, here are few movies that are coming soon or are currently in production that are originally YA books!

Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs – This movie is coming out on September 30 which is next week and I am so excited to see it! Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children is a very intriguing and interesting book about a boy named Jacob who travels to the island his grandfather grew up on looking for answers after his complicated death. It has a really creepy and different feeling that I hope they portray well on the big screen!

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them by JK Rowling – At first I was really confused when I heard this was becoming a movie because the book is very thin but after seeing the trailer I couldn’t be more pumped! The actors look amazing and the concept is something I am interested to see. If you didn’t know, instead of following the wizarding world in Britain, this movies follows a wizard who is part of the American wizarding world. I cannot wait to see this movie which is coming out on November 18.

Let it Snow by John Green, Maureen Johnson and Lauren Myracle – I haven’t read this book but apparently it is in production so I will definitely be checking it out! Let it Snow is a collection of short stories that take place during the Christmastime. I don’t know much more than that but keep an eye out next year for it in theatres!

Everything Everything by Nicola Yoon – This movie has actually just recently started filming but I am extremely excited to see this in theatres! The two main actors are Nick Robinson who played Ben Parish in the 5th Wave and Amanda Stenburg who played Rue in The Hunger Games! This book is about a girl named Maddie who is allergic to everything and has not been outside for many, many years. One day though, a boy named Ollie moves next door and she instantly falls in love but its hard to be in love when you are allergic to the world. Amazing book and I am so excited to see this movie hopefully next year!

Those are a few somewhat upcoming releases that I am excited for and if you are aware of anymore please comment! I am aware that a few series such as The Throne of Glass, Red Queen and Legend have been optioned so fingers crossed that it comes through!
