Not-So-Popular Book Recommendations

I was thinking of a blog post to do and I realized I had a few books on my shelf that were great but not very many people read so I decided to post a Not-So-Popular Book Recommendations post!

Kissing Frogs by Alisha Sevigny is a cute, finding yourself contemporary that is based on the fairy tale, the Frog Prince. It is about this girl named Jess who to be able to pass biology has to be sent to Panama along with some of her other classmates to help save the Golden Frog. When she looses her ring at the bottom of a pool, Travis (someone who she had a history with) retrieves it and as a reward wants 3 dates from Jess. The plot may sound a bit cheesy but the book is great and a really fun and easy read!

Legacy of Kings by Eleanor Herman is a historical fiction book with a hint of fantasy and some Greek mythology in it too! It follows 5 different people, Alexander who is the heir of Macedonia, Katerina who’s mission is to kill the Queen, Jacob who will fight whomever and whatever to win Katerina, Haphaestion who also wants to win Katerina and is a murderer who is hidden by the prince, and Zofia who is a Persian princess that is set to marry Alexander. I thought this book was amazing and I loved following all these different characters because they were all so complex and interesting. I really recommend this book!

The Kane Chronicles by Rick Riordan is an urban fantasy trilogy set around Egyptian mythology. I know that Rick Riordan is well known but I barley ever see this trilogy shown or talked about and it needs to be because its a great, educational trilogy! It follows Sadie and Carter as they unravel their past that seems to intertwine with the Egyptian gods after their father is taken by the evil god, Seth. Their are 3 books in this series: The Red Pyramid, The Throne of Fire and The Serpent’s Shadow. Please read them!!!
