I love re reading my books. It’s one of the reasons why I actually buy them because I know I am going to read them multiple times. But there are some books that everyone has to re read.
Harry Potter – Everyone has to read and re read Harry Potter just because it’s just an amazing book series for any age.
Throne of Glass – Throne of Glass series is such a beautifully written book with a strong plot line and strong characters; a must re read.
Eleanor and Park – This contemporary book is just so swet. It shows that someone will love you no matter how you look or what your backround is like.
The Fault in Our Stars – The story is just really inspiring and just so sweet but heart breaking. Worth the tears and the re read.
An Ember in the Ashes – This book is just fantastic. The world is so 3D and I love how unique it is!
So those are the 5 books/series that you need to re read…and if you haven’t read any of them yet go and pick one up!
I would guess most of you Mortal Instrument fans, like myself have either heard about or are keeping up with Shadowhunters. Well, today I decided to discuss episodes 1-3 and this is a spoiler free review so anyone can read it 🙂
Okay, so since I first heard about Shadowhunters I was really excited because the Mortal Instruments is one of my all time favourite series but once I started watching the sneak peeks and trailers my expectations decreased dramatically. The first episode exceeded my very low expectations because it wasn’t terrible, I actually found it mildly entertaining but there was a lot things left out from the books that I think could have made the episode better. I personally feel like the characters are quite fitting to what I visualized while reading TMI but the acting…well in my opinion isn’t that good. The dialogue for the show is really poor and I feel like if they majorly fixed the dialogue so it isn’t so awkward it will satisfy a lot of people’s expectations.
So far I have to say my favourite character is Simon because Alberto is a really good actor and delivers Simon’s lines perfectly. He is the only character that can make me laugh. The other characters have lines that are intended to be funny as well but the only difference compared to Simon is that they are not funny or are just not said in a way to make people laugh *cough* Jace *cough*. This has been quite negative so far but I do really enjoy the fight scenes in Shadowhunters but apart from that I think Shadowhunters needs to step up their game…majorly.
This is just my personal opinion on the TV show and everyone is inquired to their own opinions. While I do think the Shadowhunters isn’t the greatest, I will still be watching it because it does entertain me and I have hopes for it still, just hopefully my hopes will come true but I think that is what everyone hopes. Anyway, leave your opinion below because I would love to see what you think of Shadowhunters so far!
Today is January 28 which means there are only 3 more days of January left so I thought why not share with you all the books I read this month! So I read a total of 4 books this month which for me is pretty good since I can be a slow reader. Anyway, here are the books I read in the first month of 2016…
The first book I read this month was Winter by Marissa Meyer, the last book in the Lunar Chronicles which is a sci-fi fantasy series that you must read. I got this book for Christmas and I was highly anticipating it in 2015 so I flew through it and read all 800+ pages. It was an amazing, epic finale that was done right.
The next book I read Obsidian by Jennifer L Armentrout, the first book in YA paranormal series called the Lux Series. I have been putting this book off for a while and I am so glad I finally read it because I couldn’t stop. It was such an easy read and I relate to the character so much and it was just wonderful.
I also read Onyx by Jennifer L Armentrout which is the second book in the Lux Series and it was definitely just as good. The main character, Katy sometimes gets on my nerves but I still find myself relating to her a lot which probably would make her my favourite character.
The last book I read this month (and still currently reading) is Opal by Jennifer L Armentrout, yes the third book in the Lux series but I am just flying through her books! The series has 5 books but I wish it would just continue on, and on, and on…no but seriously please pick up the first book sometime and read it because the books are just so mesmerizing and fun, it is worth the read and you will not regret it!
Okay, that’s all I will be posting for today so I hope all you have a great day and I will be back with another blog tomorrow morning. 🙂
I decided to tell you guys some book recommendations that I think everyone needs to read! I will be giving a few for every genre so there is something for everyone. I will not be going into detail or anything just because it would be too long to describe all of them but just trust me, they are all worth the read.
Contemporary- Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell (Every fangirl needs to read this), Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins and Kissing Frogs by Alisha Sevigny.
Science Fiction- The 5th Wave by Rick Yancy and Cinder by Marissa Meyer (sci-fi and fantasy).

Hope you enjoyed the book recommendations but seriously you have to read these fantastic books!
Comment some recommendations for other in the comments below 🙂
Even though this is a bit late considering the fact that the first month of 2016 is already coming to an end, I still decided to share my top 5 favourite books of 2015. These books are in no particular order and I read them all for the first time last year so here they are!
Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins is a contemporary novel about a seventeen year old girl named Anna who is sent to a boarding school in Paris where she meets a very swoon worthy boy named Etienne St.Claire, and it is about their relationship becoming possibly more than a friendship. I really, really loved this book and I gave it a 4.5/5 stars.
Lola and the Boy Next Door by Stephanie Perkins is another contemporary novel about a girl named Lola, who realizes her first childhood love has moved back next to her and may even come between Lola and her current boyfriend. This book was also amazing and it was so adorable and I highly recommend it for anyone who loves feel-good books. I also gave this a 4.5/5 stars!
An Ember in the Ashes by Sabbaa Tahir is a fantasy novel that is set in an ancient fantasy atmosphere where a girl named Laia fights to save her brother from his prison. I found this book really refreshing and interesting and I just all around loved it! It is really unique considering that the military wears silver masks that eventually mold into their faces…anyway I gave this book a 5/5 stars. Highly recommend it.
The 5th Wave by Rick Yancy is a sci-fi novel about a girl named Cassie who is one of the few survivors of an alien attack. She finds herself on an epic mission to save her younger brother, Sammy as she also battles to stay alive. I am not a huge science fiction lover but this book really changed the approach I took on them. This was just a great and funny novel that I would give 4/5 stars too!
Throne of Glass by Sarah J Maas is a very epic, high fantasy novel about an assassin named Celaena Sardothian who enters a competition to be the king’s assassin/champion in order to regain her freedom. This book was just fantastic. Sarah has such beautiful, descriptive writing and I connected so easily with Celaena because Sarah really made her feel like a 3D character. I defiantly give this book a 5/5 stars!
I read so many amazing books in 2015 it was really difficult to narrow it down to 5 but I am pretty sure the books I picked were the best I read. My goal was to read a total of 30 books (new books) but this year I am going to try and bump that up to 50 but this time instead of only new books it will just be all the books I read in general. Anyway that is all I will be saying for now and I will talk to you guys tomorrow when I post my new blog! 🙂
My February TBR originally started out very packed but I managed to narrow it down to three books that I really have been wanting to read.
So the first to books I have planned are Opal and Origin by Jennifer L. Armentrout. They are the third and fourth book of the amazing Lux series which is about a girl named Katy moving next door to an alien…I will go into a more depth review in my next post which will be my January Wrap Up!
The last book I would like to get to is Passengers by Alexandra Bracken. I started this book in the middle of January but I got side tracked and began reading the Lux series. From what I have read so far of it (I am 200 pages in) it is really interesting and different from all the other books I read so I cannot wait to jump right back into the book and finish it.
Now for the New Releases portion of this blog! So there are two books I am ecstatic to get my hands on this month and they are Glass Sword by Victoria Aveyard which is the second book in the Red Queen series which I found really entertaining. Yes, it may have not been the most original series but I really enjoyed reading it and learning about the world. And can we just talk about that plot twist? That killed me. Anyway the next book I am anticipating for this month is Stars Above by Marissa Meyer! Stars Above is a collection of short stories about the Lunar Chronicles series! I won’t really explain the series because I will be talking about it more in my next blog post!
Anyway, that is all I have for now and I will be back with another post soon!
So this is my first blog post…exciting right? I was browsing the internet like I do daily and I came across a website that listed a bunch of different hobbies and starting a blog was one of them. I love talking about books so what better topic to blog about other than books?
Anyway hi, I’m Zoe. A fourteen year old girl with a crazy obsession over books, movies, and Netflix. At the moment I am an aspiring author and I have a feeling I will always want to write. On my blog I will be hoping to post upcoming books I will be reading, book reviews, and maybe even talking about how my writing life is going, and hopefully I will be posting daily, but anyway before I continue rambling on, if you read this I appreciate it and I hope you all like my blog. Bye 🙂
